Summary The decreasing air quality in cities due to pollutants from fuel vehicles and industries has a significant impact on public health. Moosaik, in collaboration with Embever, has developed moss wall panels that absorb pollutants and improve urban air quality. Embever’s IoT solution automates and simplifies the maintenance of these panels, enhancing their efficiency and scalability.

Summary Extreme weather events and rising temperatures across Europe have led to an ever-increasing amount of bark beetle damage in forests. In collaboration with Embever, Witasek Pflanzenschutz GmbH developed a biotech-based IoT solution to address this issue. Summary After participating in the DB mindbox 2019 startup cooperation program, Embever collaborates with Deutsche Bahn to ensure electric locomotives remain operational in winter using smart sensors. These locomotives pull passenger trains across Germany and need to stay powered even when idle in winter to avoid delays caused by discharged starter batteries.
